Meet Marjan
Marjan is a ceramic artist with more than 30 years of experience and the founder of Lemarsis Pottery Studio. She has taught more than 1,000 students and has collaborated with Toronto's Gardiner Museum. Her approach is calm and encouraging, and it's about the joy of making, not perfection.
With only 5 or 6 students per session, everyone gets real one-on-one attention, whatever their level.

Questions
How does the Wheel Taster work?
It's one 3-hour wheel class for $79 + HST: clay, tools and an apron are included and an instructor works beside you. You'll make a few pieces, and only your favourite one is trimmed and glazed by our staff (both firings included). If you love it, you get 20% off any wheel package for 7 days after your class, and you trim and glaze your taster piece yourself. Coming with friends? Choose how many people at checkout, up to 4, and everyone gets their own booking code.
I've never touched clay. Is that okay?
Yes. These classes are built for complete beginners. The instructor starts from zero and works with each student individually, and groups are capped at 5 or 6 so nobody gets left behind.
When do I pick my dates?
Right after you buy. You get a booking code by email straight away and use it to book any open sessions within 40 days (60 on the 8-class). Book them all at once or one at a time.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. At checkout you can split the total into 4 interest-free payments with Klarna or Afterpay, subject to their approval. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay work too.
What if something comes up?
Reschedule or cancel any session up to 48 hours before it starts at no charge, and the class goes back on your package to rebook.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, anyone. Your package classes can be shared: each person at a class uses one class from your package. Two of you at one class uses 2 classes, so a 4-class package covers two classes together.
What should I wear?
Clothes you don't mind getting a little clay on, and closed shoes. Aprons are provided.
When do I get my pieces?
We glaze and kiln-fire them after your last session. They're ready for pickup about 3 to 4 weeks later, and we'll email you when they are.
